PSV Clinics provide initial specialised assessment and
care planning, and offer long term review of people who have
had polio. Referral from a GP or specialist is required before being seen in the clinic.
Metropolitan Clinics
Weekly clinics are held in the Bolte
wing, St. Vincent's Hospital. The Clinics are
staffed by the Rehabilitation Medicine Specialist and
Physiotherapist, with attendance by the PSV orthotist if
required.
Regional Clinics
Six regional clinics are held each year. Every
year the PSV team visits each of the major regional areas -
Grampians, Loddon-Mallee, Barwon South-West and Gippsland with
additional clinics held occasionally on the Mornington
Peninsula.
